The NAYBR Team...
Who Are We?
We are a group of boxer lovers and friends who work together to help Boxers in need. These dogs may be abandoned, handed in due to bereavement; they may have suffered cruelty or neglect or simply be too much for their owners. Whatever the reason, we believe that each and every dog deserves a happy, loving home and we will endeavour to find this for each Boxer.
Every dog is assessed by a vet for general health checks and vaccinated if not already done. Each dog is measured for its suitability for a new home. This involves finding out if the dog can live with other pets that may be in their new home, if that dog can live with children and the nature of the dog. Some younger dogs need plenty of exercise whilst an older Boxer may just need short strolls with a comfy bed and a loving companion. We do our very best to match dog to owner to create a bond for life. We do NOT give a dog to the person at the top of the list – the dog needs to be right for the owner and vice versa.
In spring 2013 Notts and Yorkshire Rescue were awarded Registered Charity status which we are very proud of. Much hard work went into achieving this and all the team are pleased with the success of NAYBR.
As a registered charity our constitution is as follows:
To promote humane behaviour towards dogs, in particular, but not exclusively, the breed known as Boxers and Boxer cross breeds by providing appropriate care, protection, treatment and security for animals which are in need of care and attention by reason of sickness, maltreatment, poor circumstances or ill usage and to educate the public in matters pertaining to dog welfare in general and the prevention of cruelty and suffering among dogs in Nottinghamshire and Yorkshire.
NAYBR are proud to uphold the standard set in our constitution
